Southern Comforters 2018 Raffle Qult

I've just completed working on the Southern Comforters quilt guild raffle quilt. The blocks were made by several members of our guild. I put them together and did the quilting. The pattern is from the late Sue Garman but we did some variations. It's entitled Rhapsody in Blue and I adore it!  I'm definitely buying a bunch of raffle tickets this year!!
Some other quilts and sewing projects I've done this year. ..
Two of my dear friends since high school celebrated their 60th birthdays this year.  I made each of them a quilt.  One is a big Maryland Terps fan.

Our guild had a challenge to celebrate Nikon's 100th anniversary.  We were to be inspired by a photo and the size was to be 20x16.  This is the photo taken by my daughter of my granddaughter and her cousin on the beach.  I loved the way they held hands.  So sweet and innocent.  This is also visible in their shadow as well as their reflection.  Footprints also visible in their reflection were quilted in.  This was a Christmas gift to my daughter and her husband.

I also made my son an art quilt as well this year.  Since I made a quilt of his dog Murphy before which is owned by his father, I decided to make him one for his home.

One of my favorite quilts that I've made is called A Wee Bit Irish. The pattern is by Kathleen Andrews however I expanded the pattern to make it square.  It is embellished with Swarovski crystals.

At Christmas this year my sister asked my to quilt her a door panel.  It was lots of fun and turned out so pretty.  Other photos are some zipper bags I made and rather like the artsy  feel to them.

And here's a baby quilt for my nephew's little arrival.  Welcome Gracie!
